Play2Learn Unveils a Digital Fashion Competition for Aspiring Designers
In Brief
Play2Learn announces the launch of the MetaHug Marketplace on Roblox
This initiative aspires to nurture the future of fashion enterprises within the metaverse.
Young creators, ranging from ages 7 to 25, are invited to take part in this vibrant digital fashion design contest where they stand a chance to win 30,000 $Robux.

Play2Learn is rolling out an experience centered around New York Fashion Week. This is called MetaHug Marketplace, which concentrates not only on avatar creation but also extends into the fashion realm.
Rooted in the Roblox metaverse, the initiative focuses on cultivating the next generation of fashion businesses in the digital landscape. Participants can engage in a range of activities, including competitions, mini-games, and educational experiences. They'll have the chance to create their own fashion brands, establish boutiques, and master the art of marketing and selling virtual items.

The digital design contest aimed at young talents aged between 7 and 25 is the highlight of this launch. In order to enter and compete for the prizes, participants must submit their 2D or 3D fashion creations and excel in driving sales during the two-day online fashion showcase.
Submissions from creators will be accepted between February 17 and February 19. Afterward, judges will select three finalists whose designs will be showcased alongside well-known fashion brands. The champion will be awarded 30,000 $Robux, which is the native currency of Roblox, along with a one-year contract with the MetaHug Organization. The second and third place winners will receive 15,000 and 5,000 $Robux, respectively.
The MetaHug Marketplace encourages designers to draw inspiration from a selection of metaverse-ready outfits, including digital incarnations of Viktor & Rolf's unconventional upside-down dress and Schiaparelli's stunning lion headdress showcased during Paris Fashion Week.
Lian Pham, the co-founder of MetaHug, remarked, 'By replicating reality and engaging in role play within the game, initiatives like these stimulate creativity, promote sustainable practices, and ultimately nurture the fresh digital talents that are poised to shape our future. The next icon of the fashion world could easily be a 10-year-old girl crafting avatar skins on Roblox.'
