Amazon's launch of an NFT marketplace is on the horizon, expected to arrive in April.

According to reports, the leading tech company Amazon is moving forward with plans to launch an NFT marketplace shortly. The Big Whale , the marketplace will go live on April 24.

Amazon will feature a dedicated section for non-fungible tokens labeled 'Amazon Digital Marketplace.' Initially, this feature will roll out exclusively for customers within the United States in April, with expansions planned for Europe and other regions in the future.

The platform will debut with a collection of 15 different NFT series, though as of now, detailed insights regarding the featured artists or specific projects are not available.

To facilitate purchases, only users with Amazon accounts will be permitted to acquire tokens. Interestingly, buyers will be able to use credit cards for transactions, a decision made by the company to simplify the purchasing process, considering that many customers might find conventional crypto wallets like Metamask perplexing.

Amazon's marketplace is expected to launch on a blockchain that is incompatible with Ethereum. Should this be true, creators who wish to mint NFTs on Amazon's platform may need to establish bridges.

Overall, this isn't Amazon's first venture into the NFT space.
