Amazon, Shutterstock, and Grammarly Submit AI and Web3 Trademark Applications

Amazon has initiated a trademark application aiming to debut robots equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities.

Shutterstock is reportedly gearing up to introduce computer vision training datasets alongside advanced image recognition technology. 

Grammarly is set to create AI-driven proofreading tools.

Amazon, Shutterstock, and Grammarly are officially pursuing trademarks related to AI and Web3 applications. The announcement came from Mike Kondoudis, an attorney specializing in intellectual property at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

According to Kondoudis’ tweet On February 2, Amazon submitted applications for trademarks, including ‘Roomba’ and ‘IRobot’. This tech giant is reportedly focused on developing intelligent robots that can perform various tasks like caregiving, security monitoring, and personal assistance. Moreover, Amazon Technologies has disclosed intentions for creating robot vacuums and devices that integrate and manage smart home technologies – reminiscent of scenarios from a ‘Black Mirror’ episode.

On February 23, the image library platform Shutterstock filed trademark applications for ‘Shutterstock.AI.’ Their new AI image generator is expected to deliver marketing insights, content analysis, and predictive performance for image recognition, along with tools for crafting computer vision training datasets. Additionally, this platform will facilitate AI-based image searches and services that transform text into images. filed has submitted two trademark applications tied to its innovative AI image generator
