Yuga Labs sheds light on the new BAYC community council. How are the Bored Apes reacting to this development? Metaverse Post

Yuga Labs has made the exciting announcement of a new BAYC community council through an official blog update. official blog post  on Wednesday. 

The council includes seven dedicated and prominent holders of BAYC NFTs. Yuga Labs indicated that these council members will gather insights from the community and spearhead charitable initiatives. They aim to foster productive discussions, assign roles, and create opportunities for creators and intellectuals to collaborate and realize their aspirations within Web3.

With the introduction of this community council, Yuga Labs is enabling NFT holders to actively participate in shaping the project. They aim to maintain autonomy within the board, granting members the flexibility to pitch new ideas whenever they arise.

Council members will collaborate closely with Yuga to initiate community-oriented projects and organize events as well as charity activities.

The council is made up of the following seven members: TheMiamiApe, beijingdou, 0xWave, negithenagi, 0xEthanDG, SeraStargirl, and peterjfang.

While it’s not clear how Yuga Labs selected the council members, reactions from the community have been mixed. Some believe that there were more deserving BAYC holders, while others are curious whether the current members will remain in their positions or if changes will be made in the future.

Yuga Labs has also indicated that they are looking into establishing similar councils for their other NFT collections, including CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Otherside.
