The creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection revealed the details of the upcoming mint for the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey through their official Twitter handle.
The development team at Yuga Labs has been working on this immersive experience for some time. They first teased the trial of Jimmy the Monkey back in September, and it’s set to be released on December 21. As per the latest updates, tweet thread the trial will commence with a short film that sets the stage for a new segment in the overarching narrative of the BAYC NFTs .

At the end of the trial, Yuga Labs will release This minting will feature a dynamic event for holders of Bored Ape and Mutant Ape tokens. Importantly, participating in the mint will come at no cost, though users have the option to invest some $APE to heighten their experience.
The upcoming project The event will consist of four different tiers of rarity. Notably, Yuga Labs highlighted that collectors owning a Bored Ape Kennel Club NFT alongside BAYC or MAYC NFTs will occupy a unique rarity tier. Following this announcement, the floor price for the BAKC collection saw an increase from 6 ETH to 8.12 ETH.

Despite Yuga Labs facing some current difficulties, SEC investigation enthusiastic collectors continue to buy into the Ape NFTs. Presently, the floor price for the collection stands at 69 ETH, which translates to roughly $83,766 based on today’s rates.
