Once again, Yuga Labs is excited to present Legends of the Mara within the Otherside metaverse, promising a unique gamified experience.
Known for their prestigious NFT collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club and the Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Yuga Labs announced this new release via a tweet. This venture introduces a 2D strategic gameplay element alongside a distinctive collection of non-fungible tokens, continuing the storyline from the second Otherside journey.
Focusing on the Kodas, the primary guardians of the Otherside universe, Legends of the Mara offers holders of these creatures and Otherdeed NFTs a chance to claim ‘Vessels,’ which are NFT characters for the upcoming game. Within this captivating metaverse, website the Vessels act as meteors designed to protect the Otherside. Participants will receive one of three distinct NFT types—‘enchanter,’ ‘farmer,’ or ‘hunter’—these will be distributed randomly. Players will have access to Legends of the Mara as soon as they mint their free ‘Vessels’ tokens, a process beginning in early April.

While Yuga Labs has kept some details under wraps for now, they have confirmed that Legends of the Mara is scheduled to launch in May. Twitter Legends of the Mara invites players into a vibrant 2D realm alongside a specialized companion collection. Seize your Vessel, uncover its abilities, and navigate your unique journey.
A staggering $154 million was spent on gas fees during the minting of Otherside lands. TwelveFold Yuga Labs faced criticism from their community regarding the auction of their Bitcoin-based generative NFT collection.
