Yuga Labs and Gucci Unveil 'Otherside: Relics by Gucci'

Yuga Labs, in partnership with Gucci, has launched an exclusive physical item crafted solely for the players of the Otherside metaverse.

The new collection comprises 3,333 KodaPendants, each priced at 450 APE.

Last week, Yuga Labs revealed its collaboration with the famed Italian brand through the 'Relics by Gucci' initiative. announced This partnership involves the studio responsible for the renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club and several other significant NFT collections.

On April 3, the collaboration was highlighted with the release of the 'KodaPendant', the inaugural item crafted for this joint venture. This physical piece is designed to resemble a Koda's head, finished in antiqued 925 silver, and showcases Gucci’s iconic 'GG' logo in an elegant Baroque style. The back of the pendant is engraved with its unique edition number, and it comes complete with a 50 cm interlocking G chain.

Owners of Koda or Vessel NFTs will have the exclusive opportunity to buy the 'Otherside: Relics by Gucci' merchandise. However, there's a limited availability of just 3,333 KodaPendants. Each pendant will be priced at 450 $APE, which was roughly equivalent to $1,925 at the time of writing, and payments will exclusively be accepted in Ape Coin.

Sales are set to commence on April 6 at 6 PM ET and will follow a first-come, first-served model. Eligible holders will be able to redeem their physical KodaPendants during the summer months.

This collaboration delves into 'the convergence of fashion and entertainment within the metaverse', bridging the gap between digital and real-world experiences. The physical items will be paired with NFT artworks available for download, and owners can also utilize the accessory to style their in-game Otherside 3D avatars, gaining access to a personalized branded chat handle and visual effects.

This launch marks the beginning of a long-term alliance between Yuga Labs and Gucci. For Yuga, it’s a unique opportunity to offer collectors an exclusive and luxurious experience, while Gucci can expand its reach within the gaming and NFT sectors.
