Claims have emerged that Yuga Labs borrowed the logo for the BAKC from a publisher of children's drawing materials.

Yuga Labs, the powerhouse behind the highly valued Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, has been accused of copying a logo from a children’s drawing book.

The drawing guide publisher emphasized that their skull illustration is protected by their Terms and Conditions, indicating that Yuga Labs had no rights to use it as a logo.

Greg Solano, co-founder of Yuga Labs, also known in the space as Gargamel, has indicated that the company is currently assessing the matter. He noted that the team behind BAYC has reached out to the freelance artist who created the design and is in discussions with 'Easy Drawing Guides' to resolve the issue. Solano also confirmed that changes will be made to the logo on the collection’s website and related pages.

Numerous users on Twitter weighed in on the situation, urging the publisher to pursue legal action against Yuga Labs rather than accepting any future financial proposals from them.
