XOCIETY This innovative third-person shooter, a AAA title, has successfully wrapped up a $7.5 million pre-Series A funding round. This investment round was chiefly backed by Hashed and the Sui Foundation, with further contributions from notable gaming entities including Spartan, Neoclassic, Bigbrain Holdings, and KRAFTON.
The funding aligns perfectly with the success of XOCIETY’s beta test, which drew in over 3000 participants from 76 different countries, accumulating more than 11,000 hours of gameplay and retaining over 77% of players for at least a week. The talented team at NDUs is behind XOCIETY, enhancing it with RPG dynamics and a unique reward system that prioritizes player interaction and skill. The game features a corporate system where players can own shares and manage their businesses and economic structures within the game.
According to Jeffry Kim, founder of NDUS, 'We are dedicated to establishing a sustainable player engagement strategy, distancing ourselves from the brief earning schemes pervasive in some Web3 games. This funding will enable us to merge the finest elements of conventional gaming with the transformative potential of Web3.'
XOCIETY is being crafted by seasoned professionals with impressive backgrounds in creating engaging gaming services, such as Myoungjin Lee, recognized for his contributions to Ragnarok, and Sang Chung, previously with PlayDapp. Simon Kim, CEO & Managing Partner at Hashed, remarked, 'The expertise of our team is vital for producing a top-tier, engaging game that will excel within the Web3 landscape.'
