World Mobile Announces African Expansion Following Successful DeWi Technology Trials

Operator of a decentralized wireless network World Mobile has reported the successful completion of its field trials for DeWi technology across three African nations. Tests carried out in Kenya, Mozambique, and Nigeria showcase the viability of World Mobile’s hybrid connectivity strategy, setting the stage for a broader deployment throughout Africa.
World Mobile’s decentralized wireless framework aims to deliver cost-effective and dependable internet services to remote areas that often lack sufficient access. In both Kenya and Mozambique, the company has utilized TV White Space technology, taking advantage of the unused spectrum in the television broadcast band to offer mobile connectivity.
In Nigeria, the field trial employed Starlink, the satellite internet network managed by SpaceX, as a backhaul method. The combination of TV White Space and Starlink represents a synergistic approach, allowing World Mobile to build upon existing infrastructure and available spectrum to extend their network's reach.
