In partnership with Crypto.com, Visa is organizing an auction for a series of NFTs themed around the World Cup, with proceeds benefiting a charitable initiative.

Credit card company Visa, in collaboration With the support of Crypto.com, Visa is launching five soccer-themed NFTs to provide financial assistance to the charity Street Child United.
The auction for the NFTs will run from November 1 to November 8, with all revenue directed to Street Child United, a UK-based charity that organizes international soccer tournaments for disadvantaged youth in Qatar.
These digital collectibles will highlight memorable goals from World Cup players such as Michael Owen, Maxi Rodriguez, Jared Borgetti, and Tim Cahill.
Each NFT will embody the colors of the player's national team and will feature details like the date, minute, and match during which the goal was made.
"The possibilities in Web3 are limitless; we just need to carve out our niche in it,\" said Andrea Fairchild, Visa's senior VP.
Attendees at the World Cup can also engage in creating their own digital artwork within the Visa Masters of Movement area at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha. Fans can generate NFTs by participating in a four-minute, six-a-side soccer game in a virtual setting.
After the match concludes, fans will be able to view their NFT and have it delivered to their Crypto.com wallet within a fortnight. For those without a Crypto.com account, the digital collectible can be received as a standard digital file instead.
At the Visa Masters of Movement area, fans can discover Visa's latest payment technologies, including advancements in blockchain. Visa has been a key partner and official payment service sponsor for FIFA since 2007.
In October, Visa formed a partnership with FTX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, to introduce debit cards in over 40 countries. This card enables users to transact directly from their crypto wallets, although currently, it's limited to the U.S., with plans to expand into Europe and Latin America in 2023.
Visa has revealed an NFT initiative aimed at creators. launch debit cards Qatar Airways plans to incorporate NFTs and ticket sales into its Metaverse QVerse platform.
