Unstoppable Domains Unveils a New Private Vault Tailored for Domain Holders

With the launch of UD Parking, users can claim their domains on-chain and confirm their ownership. The vault's private keys are encrypted, and users can transfer their domains from UD Parking to a self-custodial wallet at their convenience.

UD Parking is designed to assist newcomers in the web3 space who may not have yet established a crypto wallet for storage, as well as those who prefer not to manage their domains directly. Additionally, it caters to crypto-savvy users who may want to keep their web3 identity distinct from their other crypto holdings, particularly if they possess an extensive portfolio.

Sergii Iurevych, the Engineering Manager at Unstoppable Domain, indicated in the announcement regarding UD Parking that segregating domains from other crypto assets significantly mitigates the risk of hackers accessing or making unauthorized adjustments to users' domains.

Users who have already integrated their domains into a self-custodial wallet can maintain that arrangement; however, those with web3 domains under Unstoppable's management must transition them to UD Parking or their own self-custodial wallets by April 10 at 12 PM UTC. April 29, 2025 While a domain is secured with UD Parking, users will not have the capability to modify domain records, such as updating an ETH wallet address. Unstoppable is actively developing a feature that will allow users to effortlessly transfer domains between wallets and UD Parking, enabling them to make updates and re-park their domains.

The cost for UD Parking is $4 annually for domains valued under $100 and $10 for domains priced at $100 or above. Interested individuals can take advantage of a seven-day free trial.
