In an effort to solidify its standing in the crypto realm, the UK Government is set to launch its own NFT, positioning itself as a central hub for cryptoasset innovation.

As part of its ambition to take the lead in the crypto sphere, the UK Government has unveiled its plans to create an NFT while also recognizing the validity of stablecoin transactions.

Rishi Sunak, the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, has tasked the Royal Mint—to the tune of over 1,136 years of heritage—to develop and issue a national NFT by the upcoming summer.
