Twitter tests NFT Tweet Tiles

In the wake of Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition, the platform is starting to embrace the crypto world through various enhancements, NFTs being a significant part.

Initially, Musk terminated four top executives, including CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, legal head Sean Edgett, and Vijaya Gadde, who was in charge of legal and policy matters. This overhaul will cost Musk around $200 million to settle stock and compensations. Reports suggest that Musk may step into the CEO role himself.

Subsequently, the developers at Twitter have unveiled their new NFT-centric update known as Tweet Tiles.

"You can be sure that digital assets are going to become an essential component of Twitter,\"

told Elon Musk to Blockworks. 

With this innovative feature, NFTs will be displayed as larger images along with details about the artwork, including its title and creator. At present, Tweet Tiles supports NFTs sourced from platforms like Rarible, Magic Eden, Dapper Labs, and Jump.Trade.

Some of Elon Musk's vast following of 110.6 million have proposed integrating additional NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea, Looks Rare, Jpg.store, VIV3, Reservoir, and Art Blocks.

Twitter isn't alone in capturing the attention of the cryptocurrency community; Reddit has also ventured into the crypto space with significant updates. This past July, Reddit launched a new blockchain-powered NFT marketplace, allowing users to buy profile picture NFTs for fixed prices ranging from $9.99 to $99.99.
