Unveiling the Triumphs of MetaHub Finance in the Web3 Sphere

Through its innovative MEN token model and the MetaID framework, MetaHub is revolutionizing the Web3 landscape by offering a straightforward way for people globally to embrace blockchain. In this conversation, James Ross Croyle , CEO of MetaHub discusses how the platform assists users in transitioning from Web2 to Web3 while providing opportunities to earn, stake, and engage with decentralized environments.

What sparked your interest in crypto?

My introduction to the world of cryptocurrency started in 2017, driven by sheer curiosity. I observed my peers making profits from something referred to as digital assets, and I couldn't help but wonder, 'What exactly is this?' Despite having no clue about the mechanics, I decided to dip my toes in the water. I purchased a small amount of Bitcoin and Ethereum and explored a blockchain game called CryptoKitties, which was one of the pioneers in the realm of blockchain gaming utilizing smart contracts. I found it absolutely captivating, but learned the hard way when I misplaced my seed phrase, resulting in the loss of eight CryptoKitties and $100 worth of Ethereum — quite a tough realization. After that incident, I kept my Bitcoin and Ethereum on an exchange, yet I didn’t engage with them actively for quite some time.

In 2020, I began consulting for a Web3 startup dedicated to assisting creators in monetizing their work on social media platforms like Instagram. By 2021, I was fully engrossed in the Web3 and gaming universe. I even established a gaming community from the ground up, rallying 300 players to take part in games like Axie Infinity and Pegaxy, a blockchain horse racing platform. At that time, I was employed at Microsoft in Southeast Asia, where I quickly emerged as the go-to expert on Web3-related inquiries focusing on crypto and decentralized finance.

Eventually, I recognized my need for a full-time position in the Web3 sector, and coincidentally, Microsoft was downsizing. I took the leap to join Crypto Global United in a leadership capacity and subsequently rose to become the CEO of MetaHub.

What motivated the creation of MetaHub?

The inception of MetaHub stemmed from our aspiration to establish a platform that would allow anyone to participate and earn, irrespective of their background. Whether individuals possess knowledge and time or bring financial resources, we provide opportunities for both.

For instance, our 'hunters' engage in tasks to earn rewards, reminiscent of platforms like QuestN or Galaxy. Conversely, we have 'meta-minters' who stake tokens to reap dividends and various incentives.

Our aim is to cultivate an inclusive ecosystem where hunters can earn through fulfilling quests, while stakers benefit by actively participating in the MEN token framework. Our vision was to build a platform where anyone with internet access could join the Web3 movement.

In what ways does MetaHub connect Web2 and Web3?

Accessibility is the cornerstone of our approach. We aspire for individuals to engage with MetaHub without requiring an in-depth understanding of Web3. For example, if someone hears about MetaHub through a friend, they may be introduced via our referral system. From that point, they can view training materials to learn wallet setup procedures, such as using MetaMask, and start completing quests.

Central to this process is our MetaID decentralized identity system. When users log in with a self-custody wallet, they’re issued a MetaID as a soulbound token on the Polygon network. This MetaID functions as their digital footprint within the ecosystem, encapsulating their activities while safeguarding their privacy. It’s a straightforward process that doesn’t necessitate technical prowess from users.

What advantages do users experience as meta-citizens?

Becoming a meta-citizen comes with a variety of perks. First and foremost, they gain access to a vibrant community. Our Telegram channel is buzzing with activity, and we offer complimentary training for newcomers. This collaborative initiative supports users at any level, whether they are setting up their wallet for the first time or delving into more advanced functionalities.

Additionally, meta-citizens receive a soulbound token as part of their MetaID, which keeps a record of their journeys and engagements. This token's value increases as users become more integrated into the ecosystem. For instance, users with higher ranks may enjoy early access to new features or invitations to exclusive events with our partners. It’s akin to a leveling system that recognizes and rewards dedicated participants.

How does MetaID enhance traditional digital identity systems, and why is it significant in Web3?

Traditional digital identity frameworks, like those offered by Facebook or Google, often require users to provide personal details without sufficient transparency or oversight. Conversely, MetaID is completely decentralized and linked to a user’s wallet.

As soon as users log in with a self-custody wallet, like MetaMask, they receive a MetaID, functioning as their digital passport within our ecosystem. This ID tracks their journey—covering completed tasks, history of staking, and referral rankings—without compromising their privacy.

This decentralized identity intertwines deeply with our affiliate system. Affiliates can reap rewards across 20 tiers, while the MetaID ensures precise tracking without compromising sensitive information. As we move forward, the MetaID will evolve to integrate more functionalities, enhancing its significance in the Web3 domain.

Could you provide an overview of MetaHub’s growth roadmap?

In recent years, we’ve been laying the groundwork for what MetaHub is today. Our initial focus was on enabling peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions for MEN tokens, ensuring a seamless cash-out experience for our users. As we advance, we are excited to roll out more sophisticated functionalities.

One notable upcoming feature is Custom Quests, which is currently in a testing phase. These quests go beyond mere tasks like joining a Telegram group; for instance, a game developing studio could implement challenges that require players to download their game, log in, fulfill specific objectives, and even conquer designated bosses. Each action is meticulously tracked through APIs and webhooks to guarantee genuine engagement.

We’re also set to introduce the MetaHub card, a crypto-ready MasterCard that allows users to utilize crypto directly, facilitating a smoother transition into the traditional financial framework. Looking further ahead, we aim to launch a decentralized analysis hub around 2025, leveraging our partnerships to provide valuable insights and resources to the Web3 ecosystem.

How do DeFi tools integrate within the MetaHub ecosystem?

DeFi is integral to MetaHub, particularly on the meta-minting front. Users have the opportunity to stake MEN tokens, provide liquidity, or engage in advanced DeFi strategies such as Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) and LSD-Fi.

Our MEN token adopts a deflationary framework, which features mechanisms for burning tokens during specific transactions and halving events to regulate supply. The value of this token is further buttressed by its roles in staking, rewards, and governance. For example, NFT holders receive dividends from transaction taxes, adding yet another lucrative layer.

What distinguishes MetaHub’s deflationary token model, and how does it operate?

Our MEN token is structured around a meticulously crafted deflationary model. With a capped supply of 700 million, tokens are only minted as needed—such as during the claiming of rewards or the execution of transactions.

We’ve also integrated burning mechanisms. For instance, particular transactions will trigger token burns, permanently curtailing the circulating supply. Furthermore, akin to Bitcoin, we implement halving events that occur as we achieve milestones in token mining, gradually decelerating production to ensure lasting scarcity.

One intriguing aspect is associated with NFTs in our ecosystem. NFT owners are entitled to 30% of the returns from transaction taxes, distributed every 28 days. However, there’s a stipulation: Should they neglect to claim their earnings within a 24-hour timeframe, the unclaimed rewards are locked into the smart contract and rendered inaccessible—adding yet another layer of deflation.

How do MetaHub’s strategic collaborations in generative AI and Web3 influence affiliate marketing on decentralized platforms?

The realms of generative AI and Web3 are both transforming the affiliate marketing domain. One of our esteemed advisors, Val Bercovici, is a prominent figure in AI and cybersecurity, and his expertise has been instrumental as we explore new avenues.

For instance, generative AI enhances content creation and optimizes campaigns for affiliates, while Web3 guarantees transparency and decentralization. Moreover, we’re investigating agentic workflows, where bots operate as task agents under human oversight. These bots could manage repetitive tasks, such as data aggregation or trend analysis, allowing affiliates to concentrate on developing strategy.

The synergistic potential of AI and Web3 stands to make affiliate marketing not only more effective but also scalable and accessible to audiences worldwide.

What is your vision of the future of Web3?

The path forward for Web3 hinges on minimizing friction. Presently, tools such as wallets and seed phrases are overly complicated for the average user. To onboard the next billion individuals, we require intuitive solutions, possibly leveraging biometrics or simpler authentication methods.

Ultimately, Web3 signifies decentralization, democratization, and empowering users. I foresee that the term 'Web3' may eventually fade as these technologies become fully woven into our daily lives. At that point, we’ll simply refer to it as 'the web,' where everything is interconnected and accessible to all.
