The Sandbox is teaming up with the renowned CJ ENM, known for producing the award-winning film 'Parasite' and other top-tier entertainment.
The Sandbox is pleased to announce its partnership with CJ ENM, a leader in South Korean entertainment. CJ ENM This venture aims to immerse Generation Z audiences into the Metaverse experience.
CJ ENM stands as a global frontrunner in content creation, excelling in areas like broadcast media, cinema, music, live events, and gaming. It's behind blockbusters like Parasite and Prison Playbook, and plays an active role in organizing K-Culture events.
Cindy Lee, the CEO of The Sandbox Korea, expressed, “We are thrilled to collaborate with CJ ENM, the leading entertainment entity in South Korea. Their diverse portfolio spans numerous genres, including dramas, films, and musicals. This rich variety promises to introduce a plethora of enjoyable experiences to the Metaverse.”
The aim is to merge the virtual with real-world experiences to give users a richer Metaverse adventure. In collaboration with The Sandbox, CJ ENM plans to create a 'K-content Metaverse' that leverages the organization’s intellectual properties, featuring hit TV shows and movies.
Yeop Kim, the Head of Content R&D Center at CJ ENM, stated, “We're excited to embark on several Metaverse initiatives through our partnership with The Sandbox. This collaboration will enable users to produce their own content, stepping into the role of creators.”
This month, The Sandbox will also collaborates with a renowned Japanese content institution. Digital Hollywood Studios. Jointly, these companies are set to present a seminar titled 'The Sandbox’s First Steps in the Creator Economy' on July 9.
