Covering an area of 512 virtual LANDs, Lion City is not just a highlight; it will soon host over thirty different global and regional brands and businesses, reflecting Singapore’s vibrant ethos through sectors like fashion, entertainment, sports, and technology. The development of this neighborhood has been in the works for nine months, thanks to The Sandbox team based in Singapore.

To celebrate the opening of this digital hub, the company hosted the event dubbed ‘Singapore Partner Day,’ which was designed to encourage traditional businesses to step into the metaverse.

Singapore has been selected as the inaugural country from South Asia to join The Sandbox, thanks to its reputation as a lively business center that fosters cultural diversity. The nation is recognized as a leading innovation ecosystem that embraces metaverse and Web3 initiatives, all while supporting regulations for new technologies. Presently, it conducts tests on decentralized technologies, ensuring a conducive environment for growth.

With the support of The Sandbox and Singapore Partner Day, local companies in Singapore had the unique opportunity to collaborate around the concept of ‘Scaling Innovation.’ This event served as an active platform for industry players eager to connect with the burgeoning Web3 ecosystem. During Partner Day, participants were given the chance to brainstorm and engage with innovators, gaining valuable insights into the metaverse landscape.

The event featured esteemed speakers such as Sebastien Borget, Co-Founder and COO of The Sandbox, and George Wong, Head of Singapore. Discussions revolved around the tremendous possibilities that the metaverse presents, alongside panel events, product showcases, and opportunities for networking with ecosystem partners.
