JIDU has unveiled its ambitious new electric vehicle, the ROBO-01, positioning itself as a formidable competitor to automotive giant Tesla.

The innovative electric vehicle company JIDU has introduced its concept car, ROBO-01, featuring advanced AI capabilities. Powered by the collaborative efforts of Geely and Baidu, JIDU is making strides towards bringing China's first self-driving robot car to market, poised to rival Tesla. AI The ROBO-01 was initially revealed in the XiRang Metaverse, where a virtual avatar named Xijiajia took it for a spin in the digital environment.
The design of the ROBO-01 is set to closely resemble its eventual production version, boasting features like emotion recognition via AI, a uniquely designed U-shaped steering wheel, an expansive 3D ultra-clear display, and a co-navigational interface. The seating arrangement mimics zero-gravity, ensuring optimal comfort for the driver, akin to astronauts inside a spacecraft.
Safety is greatly enhanced with a LiDAR detection system utilizing laser technology. In the event of an accident, the AI is capable of retracting the LiDAR to further protect passengers' safety.
