In Brief
In a vibrant celebration of Women’s Day, Sotheby’s and Unicorn DAO will auction off a total of 32 artworks, both physical and digital, all created by celebrated female artists.
A portion of the proceeds raised from this auction will be directed towards organizations focused on reproductive health care.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, Sotheby’s, in collaboration with Unicorn DAO, is auctioning a collection of non-fungible tokens designed by acclaimed female artists. This auction, titled 'My Body My Business,' has been curated by Nadya Tolokonnikova, a member of the Pussy Riot collective.
This exciting auction includes 32 pieces, featuring both physical and digital works from notable artists like Marina Abramović, Ellen Von Unwerth, Michele Pred, Sofia Crespo, Glam Beckett, Jenny Holzer, Cindy Sherman, Zhanna Kadyrova, Katie Bush, Fawn Rogers, and Annie Sprinkle, among others. Bidders can join the auction through a dedicated page through March 14.

Artist Michele Pred mentions, 'I created My Body My Business back in 2015 as a response to the escalating pressures on the US government to govern women's choices regarding our own bodies.' explains the idea behind her work.
Unicorn DAO was established in 2021 by Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, a key figure of the feminist art group Pussy Riot. The organization concentrates on fostering gender-fluid utopias and advocates for reproductive rights.
In May 2022, Unicorn DAO secured an impressive $4.5 million in funding from key players in the industry, including ConsenSys Mesh, Collab + Currency, Yuga Labs, MoonPay, the NFT project World of Women, and Beeple, among others.
Previously, Tolokonnikova has launched other NFT collections aimed at raising awareness for reproductive rights and feminism. Earlier this year in January, Tolokonnikova, in conjunction with acclaimed photographer Ellen von Unwerth, unveiled a new NFT. collection on the Coinbase marketplace.
