Renowned humanoid robot Sophia has launched an NFT collection titled 'Baby Singularity', along with her own Metaverse, the Age of Singularity (SAOS). The celebratory event for the NFT collection took place at the Jazz Club within Decentraland's VegasCity on Monday, May 31.

"We are thrilled to welcome Sophia the Robot as a resident of Decentraland, and there are exciting plans in store for both her and our communities. Sophia sparks engaging dialogue and fosters collaboration between humans and machines, paving the way for a decentralized future built on mutual learning,\" stated Dr. Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro, Senior Event Producer at Decentraland Foundation. said This NFT series represents a collaboration between Sophia and the artist Percy Lau, showcasing a vision for future interactions between humanity, AI, and the Metaverse. The collection features nine unique Baby Sophia heads, each accompanied by its own narrative and a forecast about our future.

Currently, the 'Sophia: Baby Singularities' collection can be found on OpenSea. So far, 12 Baby Sophia NFTs have been listed, with a floor price of 0.5 ETH and a total sales volume of 4.1 ETH. Collectors who acquire these Baby NFTs will receive exclusive access to Sophia's artificial intelligence capabilities and the SAOS Metaverse, contributing to the development of artificial general intelligence (AGI) on a global scale.

The SAOS Metaverse envisions a cutting-edge virtual environment predominantly governed by machines. It will initially feature gameplay and a marketplace revolving around the Baby NFTs, eventually expanding into a robust virtual ecosystem with a wider array of games.

Sophia the Robot was created in 2015 by the Hong Kong-based AI company Hanson Robotics. Designed to learn and adapt to human behavior using AI and facial recognition technology, Sophia has also taken on the role of co-CEO at SophiaDAO.

In March 2021, an AI-generated self-portrait by Sophia was auctioned on NiftyGateway for over $700,000, a milestone that garnered significant media attention from outlets such as the BBC, CNN, and The New York Times. The entire series raised a remarkable total of $1.7 million. In October of the same year, a one-of-a-kind digital artwork titled 'Sophia Facing the Singularities' fetched $50,000 at a Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong.

The collection is now open for public access.
