This is part of Sonic's aim to nurture and grow the Sonic SVM ecosystem, rewarding its supporters and contributors who played key roles in its development.
According to their recent announcement, 7% of the entire SONIC supply is reserved for the Initial Claim. Collaborating with Trusta, an AI-driven identity and on-chain reputation service, they have verified user wallet transactions to determine who qualifies. Eligible groups include Sonic AVS Delegators, HyperFuse Node Holders, Odyssey Participants, SonicX Users, World Store Points Holders, and Mirror NFT Holders.
The Initial Claim is designed to benefit long-term stakeholders within the Sonic SVM ecosystem, ensuring that those who have been actively involved are rewarded proportionately. The criteria for the airdrop have been crafted to build a robust and engaged community.
A record of qualifying participants was taken on December 31st.
Collaborating with Magna, a token management solution provider, Sonic SVM provides two options for eligible participants in the SONIC Initial Claim. The first allows individuals to claim 60% immediately, with the remaining 40% to be distributed over a six-month timeframe post-Token Generation Event (TGE), accompanied by a 140% bonus. The second option gives users the chance to claim the complete airdrop amount at once.
To simplify the claiming process, Sonic SVM will offer complimentary gas fees to qualifying users via the TikTok platform. This includes individuals who have logged in through TikTok and those who have met the Odyssey criteria or completed tasks on SonicX. Claims for free gas will be available for 72 hours on a first-come, first-served basis, starting today.
The TGE is set for 12:00 PM UTC on January 7th, distinct from the mainnet launch date.
Sonic Plans to Host Odyssey ‘Pre-Mainnet Season’ to Enable Users to Earn Additional Rewards Before the Mainnet Goes Live
Before the launch of the Sonic SVM mainnet, the Odyssey Pre-Mainnet Season will kick off as a part of the testnet initiative. Rewards earned during this phase will be eligible for the Community and Ecosystem Allocation once the mainnet is operational. The Sonic SVM mainnet is projected to launch in Q1 2025, and participants are welcome to join the Odyssey Pre-Mainnet Season.
