The triumph of the sold-out Queen Apes NFTs demonstrates the authoritative presence of women in Web3.

Behind every great ape is a Queen Ape.
Bored Ape Yacht Club member Bill Starkov launched Apocalyptic Apes After that, on April 28th, the female-led faction unveiled 8,888 NFTs featuring exclusive perks for holders, complemented by fresh, feminine illustrations from the talented artist of Apocalyptic Apes. Haddy .
Between these milestones, Fast Company and Christie’s There's ongoing dialogue about bridging the gender divide in Web3, particularly following the Bain Capital gaffe announcement of an all-male team in the crypto space during Women's History Month.
"To align with our vision for the future, each Apocalyptic Ape needed a Queen," said Katherine Boiciuc, Director of Queen Apes (known in the Web3 community as Stem ) tells Metaverse Post.
The entire series was snapped up in a mere three hours, amassing over $1.5 million. A portion of these funds was then reinvested into projects led by friends within Web3.

Charitable endeavors lie at the very heart of the Apocalyptic Apes mission. According to a released statement, the apes symbolize 'a dreary apocalyptic age resulting from human waste and environmental destruction.' Their approach also involves collaborating with global change-makers to replace harmful plastics with alternatives like hemp and other biodegradable options.
Bill Starkov emphasizes, 'NFTs are revolutionizing the way communities are formed, nurtured, and managed.'
"We have an outstanding team,\" he adds. \"The Apocalyptic Apes are honored to partner with remarkable women in the Web3 realm to realize this project and elevate women's contributions in Web3.\"
Stem collaborates with Jillian Valentin and LisaJo to lead the Queens team in their mission to drive social change through art, music, staking, and tokenomics.
"My experiences over the past couple of years show that women and BIPOC creators often have to strive for visibility and acknowledgment,\" shares Stem. \"Joining forces with Fity to establish the AAPE Queens was a conscious step to aid more women in pursuing careers in web3.\"
In the wake of their success, Queen Apes contributed $25,000 to Fame Lady Squad \"a female generative project on the blockchain aimed at providing opportunities, education, and support, with a strong focus on welcoming women from diverse backgrounds into the Web3 environment.\" They also invested in 100 unique music NFTs from indie country artist. Sammy Arriaga and gifted them to Queens minters.
"Choosing Sammy and FLS was a natural fit,\" Stem reflects on those selections. \"The FLS tells such an inspiring NFT narrative. Watching a community reclaim a project and guide it back on the right path is truly motivating. We had a feeling that if we managed to sell out in these challenging market conditions, we would have the chance to give back that fortune.\"
Stem recognizes the ways in which real-world issues influence the Metaverse, akin to the changes from Web2. \"In technology and finance, representation of women is sparse, which feeds into the early adopter patterns of Web3. This trend of underrepresentation persists,\" she explains. \"The idea behind the Queens Apes was to foster inclusivity. I remember witnessing the BAYC minting event, and I stayed out of it because I didn’t see my reflection in the art.\"

Although a male artist crafted these Queens, Stem notes, \"Haddy excelled at designing a diverse array of empowered queens from a dystopian background.\" These Queens may not be traditionally beautiful, but their fierce demeanor, armed and smoking, speaks volumes.
"I am thrilled by the surge of women stepping into Web 3. Whether as founders, artists, community leaders, moderators, or developers, the collaborative spirit in Web3 is flourishing. It's almost as if we've been made to shine here,\" Stem concludes.
Some skeptics argue that Web3, being mainly a digital presence, lacks substance. However, what unfolds within it? Genuine interactions. Technology isn’t as fundamental or automatic as weather patterns; it encapsulates culture as a reflection of human interactions—complete with all its emotions, fears, and desires.
Starkov resonates with this perspective. With a background in real estate and media casting, he acknowledges that women represent half of the global population and are equally crucial in driving the Web3 movement. The inaugural drop of the Queen Apes stands as a powerful testament to that fact.
