Smobler Studios has successfully gained $1.2 million from The Sandbox for the exciting creation of a meaningful metaverse.

Founded during the pandemic by Loretta Chen and Ruel Sarmiento, Smobler Studios emerged when Sarmiento, a passionate gamer, spotted an opportunity within The Sandbox’s Game Maker Fund.
The Game Maker Fund offers financial support for users to develop their imaginative ideas within The Sandbox ecosystem. With this, Chen and Sarmiento created Cobbleland, a collaborative space designed for NGOs, communities, and brands, giving young entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds a platform to showcase their Web3 gaming initiatives.

Chen said.
Since then, Smobler has teamed up with The Food Bank Singapore and Adventis Graduate School, which is notable for launching Asia’s first low-cost metaverse campus serving the ASEAN region.

Sarmiento stated.
The funds from this investment will allow Smobler Studios to enhance their operations, collaborate on new ventures, and establish academies for game developers. They also have ambitions to branch out into markets in the US, Canada, Latin America, and across Asia.
The Sandbox is recognized for its collaborations with various brands, artists, and entrepreneurial ventures.
