Paris Saint-Germain teams up with Asian sensation Jay Chou to introduce an innovative art venture in the Metaverse

France’s top football The illustrious club, Paris Saint-Germain, has linked up with the talented Asian singer Jay Chou to reveal an exciting new project focused on the Metaverse and NFTs. This NFT collection, titled 'Tiger Champs,' is set to launch on June 23 and will be offered exclusively through  crypto.com

The promotional material features PSG’s star players like Messi, Neymar, Verratti, Donnarumma, and Marquinhos, alongside Jay Chou and the club’s mascot. This collaboration represents PSG's ongoing dedication to expanding its presence in the Asian market. 

Jay Chou is not only a Taiwanese Mandopop superstar but also an actor and producer of high renown. He's celebrated throughout Asia and has appeared in notable Hollywood films like 'The Green Hornet' and 'Now You See Me 2.’ Chou has solidified his status as one of Asia’s premier pop figures, and just last month, his virtual concert attracted a staggering 100 million viewers. 

Back in 2021, Chou worked with Sotheby’s to oversee the 'Contemporary Curated: Asia' auction, which witnessed remarkable success with all lots sold, earning the highly coveted 'white glove' distinction. The grand total from this sale exceeded $109 million, setting nine auction records for various artists.  series Through this collaboration with PSG, Chou is gearing up for a performance at the iconic Parc des Princes, which will mark him as the first Mandarin-speaking artist to grace its stage. He is also deeply committed to supporting PSG's philanthropic endeavors, with plans to work alongside the PSG Endowment Fund to enhance awareness and funding for disadvantaged youth. 

PSG's interest in the Metaverse isn't new. Earlier in March, the team put in a trademark application aimed at launching a platform within the Metaverse. In April 2021, they debuted their inaugural NFT collection in partnership with Lucky Buddy, and just this year, they created another NFT to honor Messi’s seventh Ballon d'Or win.
