The funding round was led by the US Innovative Technology Fund, a noteworthy investment entity that focuses on AI and is headed by billionaire film producer Thomas Tull, whose portfolio includes notable companies like Anduril and Shield AI. This significant financial backing marks a milestone for AI startups operating in North Carolina's Triangle region.

Founded in 2017 by Igor Jablokov, who was also responsible for creating the startup Yap that was eventually acquired by Amazon to enhance Alexa's development.

In the past year, Pryon has notably broadened its activities, establishing a strong sales team and attracting clients from diverse sectors such as finance, government, and industry, all leveraging its technology to boost efficiency.

Virtual assistants enable businesses to upload and manage extensive internal information, aiding in delivering quick and accurate responses to worker inquiries about that data.

Igor Jablokov, the CEO of Pryon, underscored the company's mission to build a reliable AI system. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the information provided by Pryon's AI originates from dependable sources, firmly stating, \"Every answer produced by Pryon is grounded in truth,\" which promotes transparency and reliability in the information shared. Furthermore, Jablokov highlighted the necessity for businesses to trust AI systems, especially when those systems are relied upon for crucial operations.
