Professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk has introduced a series of NFTs aimed at raising $2 million for his homeland, Ukraine.

World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is launching NFT art pieces aimed at supporting Ukraine amidst its struggles with the Russian invasion. The athlete, who hails from Crimea, has partnered with the NFT sports platform Blockasset and the renowned digital artist Dosbrak to create 2,000 original pieces on both Solana and Ethereum. Usyk's goal is to raise roughly $2 million, with all proceeds directed to the Usyk Foundation to provide assistance to Ukrainians impacted by the war. launch The NFT collection is set to debut just before Usyk’s highly anticipated matchup against British boxing champion Anthony Joshua. Currently, fans can snag Usyk’s NFTs prior to the minting day using credit or debit cards or USDC. Those who buy early will receive their NFTs in their wallets once the collection goes live. So far, Usyk has successfully raised over $52,220 by selling 1,739 Solana NFTs at $200 each. Ethereum-based collectibles are expected to be available soon.
