Visual Artist Burton Morris Teams Up with Banquet Labs to Push the Boundaries of Art in the Metaverse

How were you introduced?
Burton: A few months ago, I was introduced to Matt by my good friend. Jerry Eitel, who is the Chief Metaverse Officer at Prager Metis. We instantly connected and have been friends and collaborators in the Web3 space ever since. introduced me to Matt Bond from Banquet Labs Burton, what sparked your interest in the Metaverse?
Burton : As soon as I discovered the concept of the Metaverse, I was thrilled by the endless possibilities it offered. It felt like a new realm for opportunities, a bustling space to engage with new people, an innovative platform to create artwork that set itself apart from everything I had done before, and a pivotal chance to be part of shaping the upcoming wave of art.
Can you both elaborate on what fueled this project? art and culture .
Burton: The driving force behind our project came from merging my
30 years of artistic creations with these emerging mediums and experiences in the Web3 ecosystem. “popular icons” artwork Matt: As ardent admirers of Burton’s work, we aimed to launch him into the Web3 arena in a meaningful way. Our vision was to immerse him right in the center of the current NFT surge by surrounding him with a diverse selection of artists, technologists, designers, and cultural innovators for a rich tapestry of collaborative endeavors.
Burton: Our latest venture involved a virtual fashion line tailored for the metaverse. I found this particularly exciting as I’ve always supported the intersection of art and fashion. One of my career milestones happened early on when David Schwimmer wore one of my T-shirts during the filming of an episode of Friends. Similarly, Banquet and Dapp Craft gained recognition in the Web3 space after collaborating to release their virtual fashion line last summer. We all shared a passion for the idea of joining forces to create something fresh and inventive for the wearable tech market.
Could you tell us more about Pop!Tops – what differentiates it from other wearables available today?

Burton is undoubtedly one of the pioneering artists of this era, while Dapp Craft ranks among the foremost developers of wearables in the metaverse.
