In an interview with Metaverse Post, Marco Ruffa, Digital Transformation Director of the brand, discussed Pinko's plans for the metaverse.

The Italian fashion label Pinko is collaborating with Mirror, a digital agency, to bring its first NFT collection to life. This collection, known as 'Meta Love Bags,' will be launched online and will also be available in Pinko's physical stores located in SoHo, New York, and Montenapoleone street in Milan. This initiative intends to seamlessly bridge the Web3 realm with select physical spaces, giving shoppers the chance to experience the metaverse in-person.


The collection showcases 15 distinct digital bag artworks. Each Meta Love Bag NFT is priced at 0.30 ETH (which is around $347 based on current conversion rates) and offers holders various exclusive benefits. For instance, owners will gain early access to upcoming NFT releases, along with special promotions and a 10% discount. Moreover, holders of Meta Bags can join the 'Very Important Customer' program, set to launch in 2023, which is expected to feature private sales and exclusive events both online and offline.
Furthermore, Pinko envisions creating its fashion metaverse, where users can personalize and dress their avatars with NFT clothing items while interacting with fellow players.


Marco Ruffa, the Digital Transformation Director at Pinko, shared the brand's aspirations for the digital fashion landscape with Metaverse Post, stating:
"Digital fashion is merely scratching the surface; we feel that we are in a phase filled with experimentation and creativity. Numerous innovative initiatives are being piloted currently.\"
He elaborated that the metaverse project by Pinko aims to appeal to two distinct customer segments: their loyal clientele and new consumers.
"For our loyal customers, the aim is to familiarize them with Web3 concepts, crypto, wallets, and NFTs. Conversely, we're also eager to explore how digital collectibles and real-life experiences can attract fresh audiences, opening up new market segments for the brand.\"
Discussing the Meta Love Bag NFTs, Marco described the item as the focal point of the brand's offerings that drives a significant portion of its sales. Thus, Pinko's metaverse venture aims to transition both its flagship product and foundational values into the Web3 arena.
"We are presented with the opportunity to create a brand new touchpoint, defining exciting ways to engage our consumers, maintain connections, and collaborate with them. Our vision is to foster a robust community from the ground up and grow alongside the metaverse's evolution,\" Marco Ruffa conveyed to Metaverse Post.
