In her role at Intel, Sandra Rivera leads the Data Center and AI Group, influencing major innovations.

Before taking the reins in her current position, Rivera led Intel's global Human Resources as the chief people officer, focusing on fostering a culture centered on diversity and inclusion to enhance the company's effectiveness. Earlier in her career, she managed the Network Platforms Group, a division with over 3,000 employees, tasked with revolutionizing network infrastructure using Intel-based technologies and melding Intel's software and hardware offerings to maximize client value.artificial intelligence (AI) strategy.

Rivera stepped into her marketing director role at Intel following its acquisition of Dialogic Corp. in 2000, bringing substantial experience from her previous position as head of computer telephony at Catalyst Telecom, where she was also a co-founder of The CTI Authority.

Holding a degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, Rivera serves on several prestigious boards, including the Intel Foundation, the Berkeley Engineering Advisory Board, Equinix’s Board of Directors, and the Intel Latinx Leadership Council.

Intel is actively demonstrating AI's transformative capabilities by collaborating with Cochin University of Science and Technology to develop an AI-powered cancer screening system that boasts a detection rate of an impressive 98%. Topics will range from graph learning to multi-modal generative AI, emphasizing cutting-edge models, techniques, and tools applicable in scientific domains like drug discovery and climate research.
