In her role as Chief Scientist and Technical Fellow, Jaime Teevan leads initiatives to enhance core Microsoft products through research-backed innovation. She was behind the design of Bing's inaugural customized search feature,Alisa Davidson helping Microsoft adapt its products for hybrid work environments, and spearheading efforts to integrate AI into productivity tools. Previously, she also served as a technical advisor to CEO Satya Nadella. Jaime’s research has garnered numerous accolades, including the TR35, BECA, and the Karen Spärck Jones award. As a recognized ACM Fellow, she also holds positions in both the SIGIR and CHI Academies. Her qualifications include a B.S. from Yale and a Ph.D. in AI from MIT, and she is currently an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington.
Microsoft is integrating cutting-edge generative technology into its widely used Microsoft 365 software suite, which features the popular chat application. ‘Q’ aids users across various business intelligence, programming, and configuration challenges, offering support in resolving issues, generating document citations, and even making automatic adjustments to source code. It seamlessly integrates with over 40 enterprise systems and can produce content on demand. A trial version is currently available for free, while subscription options start at $20 per user per month.
