The official Discord server of OpenSea was breached, leading to a promotion of a bogus YouTube partnership.
In this recent incident, the OpenSea Discord server was compromised, with hackers pushing a deceptive message that led users to a phishing link.

Upon initial inspection, the link mimicked YouTube (“youtubenft.art”), claiming an OpenSea partnership to promote a 'YouTube Genesis Mint Pass.' Victims were asked to link their crypto wallets to claim the first free NFTs from a supposed YouTube project. OpenSea acted swiftly, removing the incriminating posts and the responsible bot.

OpenSea Support took to Twitter to inform users about the hack and advised against clicking any links shared within the platform's Discord channel.
After several hours, the marketplace released more insights regarding the breach: hackers made off with less than 10 ETH from a handful of wallets. The investigation is still ongoing.
This isn't the first instance of hacking within the NFT space, as platforms like BAYC, Shamanz, and Nyoki have similarly been targeted. Doodles and Kaiju Kings have also faced security breaches.
