For a short while, OpenSea took down BAYC from their listings.

The temporary removal of Bored Ape NFTs from OpenSea caused quite the stir last night, garnering a lot of negative feedback from NFT enthusiasts on various platforms.
According to a post made by Twitter user @economist, it seemed that BAYC NFTs had vanished from the marketplace, disabled on OpenSea This temporary delisting meant that users could neither sell these NFTs nor view them on OpenSea, although they were still retrievable through blockchain wallets.
"We’ve delisted an item you own due to a violation of our Terms of Service,\" the company stated. \"As a result, it will no longer be visible on your profile or in your collections.
"Just because your item is delisted on OpenSea doesn’t mean it’s gone from your wallet. It remains on the blockchain, and you’re free to transfer or share it elsewhere. You can check your wallet contents on Etherscan,\" they added.
The mishap unfolded against a backdrop of security breaches targeting OpenSea users, such as a phishing scheme leveraging the company’s email database, Discord links which was sent to individuals who may have unwittingly clicked on them. This prompted OpenSea to tighten security measures, leading to the temporary prohibition of Bored Apes. The company later clarified the incident in a statement. blog post .
"There was a short-lived error on OpenSea where they erroneously and momentarily removed several Bored Apes from their site. Fortunately, the situation has been corrected, and all assets are now visible again. We’re engaging with them to prevent a recurrence of this issue,\" the BAYC team explained.
