NiceHash has just rolled out its initial firmware specifically crafted for Kaspa miners, boasting an impressive performance boost of up to 20%.
In Brief
NiceHash has unveiled its first specialized firmware for mining on the Kaspa network, designed to ramp up the performance of ASICs by as much as 20%.

A marketplace dedicated to Bitcoin hashing power, NiceHash has announced the launch of its first firmware dedicated to mining on the Kaspa network . This innovative Kaspa software can significantly improve the efficiency of ASIC devices by as much as 20%.
Kaspa prioritizes equitable mining practices, emphasizing low energy consumption, strong decentralization, and extensive scalability. It employs the GhostDAG protocol, allowing multiple blocks to function concurrently, and its unique Proof-of-Work (PoW) model has attracted solo miners. With the new firmware from NiceHash, miners can maximize their earnings within the Kaspa ecosystem.
The NiceHash Kaspa firmware is specifically designed for the Antminer KS series of ASICs, increasing efficiency by minimizing power usage while enhancing the hashrate. It also includes smart thermal safeguards to prevent overheating. This firmware is compatible with the Antminer KS5 Pro, KS5, KS3 (9.4 TH), and KS3 (8.3 TH) models.
Since many Kaspa Antminer devices utilize CVITech control boards that do not permit permanent custom firmware installations, NiceHash has created a workaround to address this issue. To install the Kaspa firmware, users need to connect a Cracker Card, a hardware add-on that interfaces with the CVITech control board. This Cracker Card facilitates the over-the-air installation of the custom NiceHash firmware for Kaspa on ASIC units that are currently using standard firmware.
Miners utilizing the NiceHash Kaspa firmware will incur a variable fee ranging from 1% to 4%, contingent on their device's overclocking status. This adaptable fee structure is designed to create a fair mining environment for users, allowing them to profitably mine through NiceHash pools.
NiceHash has published extensive guides to aid Kaspa miners in upgrading their ASIC devices with the custom firmware. This launch follows the earlier rollout of NiceHash Firmware, which aimed to boost the efficiency and profitability of Bitcoin mining ASICs. As NiceHash’s first firmware available for a network outside of Bitcoin, this Kaspa upgrade offers additional incentives for miners to utilize its pools and gain from improved ASIC functionality.
NiceHash has collaborated with Marathon Digital Holdings to introduce the NiceHash Firmware.
Established in 2014, NiceHash is a well-recognized hashrate marketplace within the cryptocurrency landscape. With a primary focus on Bitcoin , it provides a robust ecosystem encompassing mining, hashrate trading, and payment solutions, all aimed at driving the global adoption of Bitcoin.
Recently, NiceHash partnered with Marathon Digital Holdings to launch customized firmware for ASIC miners on its platform. The NiceHash Firmware is engineered to leverage Marathon’s technology, enhancing the efficiency and profitability for Bitcoin miners dependent on ASIC hardware.
