The NFT initiative Chain Runners has launched a new series of avatars that are built to function across various Metaverse environments.

This collection consists of 10,000 distinct NFTs that showcase varying characteristics and features. The 3D representations of the Chain Runners were developed in collaboration with a user-friendly design platform, which facilitates the creation and trading of digital assets within popular gaming ecosystems and social media. Customuse 3D As of August 26, holders of Chain Runners NFTs can incorporate these assets into various platforms, including the social hub Limb0, an innovative XR studio, and other collaborative spaces.
This platform allows individuals to project full-body 3D versions of their Runners in action, permitting customization through animations, poses, and high-definition imagery. Users can also leverage webcam or smartphone motion data to give their avatars a life-like facial animation. Nifty Island Under the Creative Commons license, the Chain Runners collection grants NFT holders the right to utilize these 3D assets for business purposes. Additionally, users have the ability to import these NFTs into software like Unity, Blender, Unreal Engine, and even Figma.
The new extended reality studio The developers of Chain Runners have teamed up with Hologram Labs to extend the usability of these avatars across various contexts. For example, NFT holders can now deploy their Runners as motion-tracked characters for virtual meetings and digital environments.
Interestingly, in July, Hologram Labs raised $6.5 million in seed funding, led by Polychain, to develop a self-expression framework aimed at enhancing the open Metaverse experience. From the perspective of Chain Runners, this framework is envisioned as a comprehensive network of digital realms interconnected through adaptable assets.
Rather than being just one solitary 3D realm, the Metaverse represents an extensive network of online spaces unified by interoperable elements. As standards continue to evolve, the avatar systems will integrate more effortlessly, enabling smooth transitions between different platforms while maintaining context.
