Cross The Ages has raised The fundraising round attracted $12 million from significant investors, including Ubisoft and Animoca Brands, known for its role in The Sandbox and previous investments in projects like OpenSea and Axie Infinity. Animoca Brands is recognized as a frontrunner among investors in metaverse startups and NFT games. In addition, Polygon and Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, participated in this funding.
Cross The Ages stands out as a free-to-play game set within the metaverse, boasting contributions from 75 talented artists and over 145 individuals involved in its development. The funding secured during this seed round will support both the game's talent and development process.
Co-founders Christophe de Courson and CEO Sami Chlagou are on a mission to revolutionize traditional card gameplay through blockchain. Players will have complete ownership rights over their NFT cards, allowing for trade, sale, and even the conversion of digital cards into physical counterparts.
The game immerses players in the popular realms of science fiction and fantasy, set against the backdrop of 'Artellium,' a continent divided into two distinct worlds.
