In partnership with Outlier Ventures, the NEAR Foundation is rolling out the NEAR Base Camp Accelerator Program, targeting emerging startups in the web3 landscape.
This pioneering accelerator program from NEAR Foundation aims to cultivate early-stage web3 ventures that are committed to building pragmatic and sustainable solutions while making use of NEAR Discovery, a new tool that facilitates access to decentralized applications across several blockchain networks.
The accelerator specifically seeks to empower promising startups that are creating projects with tangible utility, which can appeal to both web2 audiences and established companies while exploring novel integrations of Web3.
Over a 12-week period, this virtual accelerator will provide selected startups with mentorship, educational sessions, and funding opportunities up to $100,000. Additionally, participants can apply for a $20,000 service credits package via NEAR Horizon, which is designed to assist with marketing, legal aspects, financial operations, product development, and infrastructure support.
Jamie Burke, the Founder and CEO of Outlier Ventures, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the growing need to support entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses. He noted that NEAR's momentum among developers, alongside their focus on seamless application experiences, positions them well for this collaboration.
In addition to financial backing, the combined teams of NEAR and Outlier Ventures will offer invaluable insights on product development, community engagement, token economics, launching strategies, fundraising efforts, governance, legal compliance, and mentorship from industry experts.
Outlier Ventures has been creating Accelerator programs designed to nurture web3 innovations have been pivotal since 2019. With a diverse portfolio comprising over 220 startups globally, notable graduates like DIAData, Boson Protocol, Auroboros, Fetch.AI, and Ocean Protocol have collectively raised upwards of $350 million in initial funding. The application window for the NEAR Base Camp accelerator program will open on May 11, with the 12-week program set to kick off in mid-July 2023. Founders interested in participating can submit their applications through the designated platform.
