Moledao: Strengthening Web 3.0 communities through educational programs and hackathons

Recently, it hosted a Web3 Bootcamp and has plans for a Demo Day this month, along with more initiatives in the pipeline. In a recent conversation with Metaverse Post, Moledao emphasized, “The more creators there are, the more robust and progressive our ecosystem and industry will become.”

Attendees can delve into the core principles of Web3, learning key distinctions between Web2 and Web3. It’s crucial for participants to clarify their motivations for entering the Web3 sector and identify their learning goals so that the Bootcamp can effectively guide them. Moledao suggests that a spirit of entrepreneurship can greatly enhance the experience.

This past weekend, on September 17-18, Moledao hosted an engaging Web3 Bootcamp geared towards unlocking the potential of Web3 entrepreneurship. More than 45 individuals participated in two half-day sessions, guided by an industry mentor and two investment experts, each imparting valuable insights into becoming an entrepreneur in the Web3.0 environment.

Vision for nurturing Web3 creators and developers

Moledao aspires to be the essential link to Web3. Their events, including the Web3 Bootcamp and Demo Day, focus on educating and empowering blockchain supporters.

“Our focus is on the sustainable advancement of the Web 3.0 ecosystem, and we aim to engage more developers and entrepreneurs in the Web 3.0 space through educational initiatives,”
the team said.

Looking ahead, Moledao intends to continue organizing additional Demo Days, Bootcamps, and Hackathons since these events have been positively received by the community:

“We’re planning to offer structured courses that cover fundamental Web3 concepts, aiming to onboard new users into the space, as well as courses on security. This will empower novice entrepreneurs to cultivate their projects and help them grasp the Web3 landscape more thoroughly.”

Moledao’s inaugural Demo Day set for this month

Demo Day, organized by the Moledao community, provides startup founders the platform to showcase and pitch their ventures to investors, with the goal of securing funding and mentorship. MoleGather, the inaugural Demo Day, is scheduled to take place between September 23 and 27, both online and at a physical venue in Singapore.

Moledao has received 44 legitimate applications for participation, encompassing areas like DeFi, NFT Infrastructure, Metaverse, GameFi, and SocialFi. The projects have been distinguished into mature and early stages.

Early Stage “Molestarter” (projects less than six months old, having raised under $100,000) include:

Glory Games —a metaverse that integrates both the analog and virtual realms for social interactions, play-to-earn, and DeFi banking
Daotion —Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) Protocol
Godel —UGC metaverse
Rosen Bridge —Web3 social app
CLIP —an integrated DeFi infrastructure platform
ContentFi —a community-owned, decentralized, sustainable IP-focused financial content ecosystem
Moss —Web3 community news and events
FORSIN —a metaverse creator and GameFi incubator
SonarMeta —a user-generated content platform in Web 3.0
Charity3 (Bybit)—a platform dedicated to developing charitable public welfare programs

“We initially set out to select just eight early-stage projects, but due to the abundance of strong entries, we decided to expand our selection by two more slots,”
