In Brief
At the Build Conference, Microsoft disclosed a wealth of more than 50 AI-focused updates.
Bing is set to become the standard search platform for the trending AI-driven chatbot ChatGPT.

On Tuesday, May 23, Microsoft revealed During the Build Conference, Microsoft announced over 50 AI-focused enhancements, including a vast selection of plugins from notable partners such as Adobe, Thomson Reuters, Atlassian, ServiceNow, Moveworks, and Mural, as part of their early access program.
At the event, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella discussed how AI is reshaping the workplace landscape. It’s clear that tech leaders like Google and Microsoft are locked in a fierce competition to create premier AI integrations, yet this race appears to be merely in its infancy. showed Earlier this year in January, Microsoft indicated plans to collaborate with OpenAI, the minds behind ChatGPT, to accelerate advancements in artificial intelligence technology. Additionally, they have embarked on developing a new AI-enhanced Bing search engine along with an AI-driven Edge browser.
One of the standout elements from Microsoft’s recently unveiled AI tools is the integration of Bing as the go-to search engine within the acclaimed AI chatbot, ChatGPT. This ensures that users receive responses grounded in the latest available online data since Bing continuously taps into the internet. Microsoft also aims to match the open plugin standards established by OpenAI, which will foster seamless operation between ChatGPT and Microsoft's copilot solutions.
Currently, this feature is available for subscribers of ChatGPT Plus. However, other users will soon have the opportunity to access this tool at no cost. Furthermore, Microsoft is set to enhance its support for plugins with more offerings including Expedia, Instacart, Klarna, Redfin, and Zillow.
In addition, Microsoft announced that Bing will be incorporated into Windows Copilot, a new unified Copilot Stack that promotes extensibility, along with Azure AI Studio and Microsoft Fabric—a novel data analytics framework. As a result, developers will have the capability to create plugins that function seamlessly across various platforms including ChatGPT, Bing, Dynamics 365 Copilot, and Microsoft Copilot.
