Developed by VictoryXR, a leader in VR/AR educational platforms, this digital campus provides an engaging and immersive learning experience in the metaverse.
The virtual campus includes meticulously recreated structures from the actual college, allowing students to take part in online courses, attend events, and explore the campus environment.

VictoryXR designed this digital campus to provide an engaging educational experience within the metaverse. They have accurately modeled the college's buildings, enhancing the environment where students can attend online courses and various events while exploring the campus.
Metaversity aims to foster greater collaboration and engagement, transforming the conventional teaching and learning process. One of the major benefits for students in the Metaversity is the freedom from geographical limitations, enabling them to join classes from anywhere around the globe.
Classes are anticipated to commence this fall, featuring courses supplemented with virtual reality enhancements and various academic labs incorporated into the curriculum.

Miami Dade College stands out as one of the pioneers among US educational institutions in establishing a twin campus in the metaverse. Nevertheless, back in August 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) became became the first globally to create a Metaverse campus, linking its campuses in both Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
In April, the leading metaverse platform, The Sandbox, partnered collaborated with HKUST and the Hong Kong Design Institute to provide virtual experiences in the metaverse. These two institutions became part of The Sandbox's Mega City 3 program, which includes scientific initiatives, gaming activities, seminars, and workshops led by The Sandbox.
