Mark Zuckerberg remains positive When discussing Meta's ambitions for the metaverse—despite the ongoing financial burdens and necessary transformations—Zuckerberg expressed “long-term optimism for the metaverse” at the New York Times Dealbook Summit on November 30.

At this gathering, Zuckerberg criticized Apple's policy framework as being unsustainable for businesses. He pointed out that Apple’s App Store regulations have had detrimental effects on Meta's operations for years.

"Apple has put itself in a position where it uniquely controls which applications make it onto devices. That’s neither sustainable nor beneficial for the industry,\" he remarked.

the CEO of Meta  said .

He went on to say that it is unjust for Apple to decide which apps can be installed on their devices and which cannot.

Zuckerberg has been working to clear up misconceptions that Meta is solely focused on the metaverse. In fact, only about 20% of Meta’s investment funds are allocated to Reality Labs, the division handling metaverse development, and of that, around 40% is directed towards VR headset innovation. He candidly acknowledged past setbacks, which include significant financial losses, such as  laying off 13% of Meta’s workforce  (around 11,000 team members).

In response to critics who doubt Meta's metaverse vision, Zuckerberg stated, \"If you’re facing skepticism, it means you’re pushing boundaries.\"

In October, Apple updated its App Store Review Guidelines and Terms,  limiting NFT features

Zuckerberg has been actively considering strategies to bolster Meta’s business model, particularly in response to the company's plummeting stock prices. His latest VR headset, the Meta Quest Pro, is positioned to be a groundbreaking product in the VR market.  criticized , please be advised that the information provided on this page is not intended as legal, tax, investment, financial, or any kind of advice.
