Meta is taking steps to explore the integration of Ethereum and Polygon NFTs within the Facebook ecosystem.

Now, Meta is rolling out Ethereum and Polygon NFTs as profile pictures for U.S. creators. What's even more exciting is that future plans include the capability for users to link their wallets and potentially include Solana and Flow NFTs down the line.

Navdeep Singh, a Product Manager at Meta, recently offered us a glimpse of how NFTs will be showcased on the social media platform. Users will find a dedicated 'Digital Collectibles' section in their Facebook profiles where they can display their NFT collections.
Users will soon have the ability to connect their cryptocurrency wallets to Facebook, transforming their NFTs into shareable posts, allowing friends and followers to engage through reactions, likes, and comments just like any other content on the platform.
This new feature will debut in the U.S. given the necessary time and adjustments required for comprehensive integration of NFT support. Furthermore, NFT displays will also be incorporated into Meta’s other social platforms, including WhatsApp and Instagram.
The social media powerhouse continues to broaden its Web3 efforts. Back in May, the company launched NFT capabilities in Instagram posts for select creators across various countries. Just last week, it further expanded by introducing NFTs to Instagram Stories using the Spark AR augmented reality platform.
