 The Aleph Zero The Aleph Zero Foundation, dedicated to promoting the growth and integration of the Aleph Zero blockchain, has just announced the initiation of CTRL+Hack+ZK , an extensive hackathon scheduled to run from January 10th to January 31st, 2024, entirely online. CTRL+Hack+ZK is poised to be Aleph Zero's most engaging hacking experience yet, aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the blockchain sector.

CTRL+Hack+ZK welcomes developers of all experience levels, from the seasoned pros to newcomers in the Web3 space, to join a thrilling three-week virtual hacking adventure. Participants will have the chance to take part in workshops on Rust and ink!, gain educational insights, and receive hands-on mentorship from Aleph Zero's core development team and ecosystem allies.

Previous hackathons held by Aleph Zero have spawned innovative solutions like AZERO.ID and Syncra, which are now pivotal components of the Aleph Zero ecosystem. CTRL+Hack+ZK aims to be a launching pad for developers to transform their visionary ideas into tangible projects, with a chance for their creations to be incorporated into the expanding Aleph Zero ecosystem.

Moreover, notable judges from Franklin Templeton Investments, Block54, RR2 Capital, and others will evaluate the projects, offering valuable exposure for participants.

Teams already embedded in the Aleph Zero ecosystem will share insights from their journey, providing practical advice and knowledge that can benefit new entrants as they develop their own projects within the ecosystem.

Encouraging Innovation Across Varied Tracks

With awards ranging from $2K to $20K USD from a $75K USD prize pool, and the potential to receive expedited funding up to $500K, the hackathon features tracks such as:

• Telco: This track encourages developers to innovate within the telecommunications industry by utilizing Aleph Zero’s advanced capabilities, concentrating on optimizing existing infrastructures and creating new services, paving the way for future communication advancements.
• DeFi: Developers are invited to leverage Aleph Zero’s privacy-forward framework to build distinctive DeFi applications and services.
• DiD: This category investigates identity-related solutions by utilizing Aleph Zero’s inherent privacy protocols and a suite of interoperable tools to enable safe and decentralized identity management.
• Gaming: Participants will explore how to utilize Aleph Zero for creating NFT-based in-game assets, enhancing game development through specialized libraries, crafting smart contracts for in-game transactions, and establishing indexers for gaming data.
• Tooling and Infrastructure: This segment aims at developing applications, node services, libraries, and tools to enrich the developer experience and the ecosystem surrounding Aleph Zero.

Schedule and Participation Details

The hackathon will commence with the Aleph Zero ecosystem Town Hall on January 10th, followed by a series of workshops, dynamic hacking periods, and a demo day. The winners will be revealed on February 5th, accompanied by prizes, mentoring opportunities, and possible inclusion in the Aleph Zero Ecosystem Funding Program, which has distributed nearly $4M in grants to various teams and initiatives thus far.
