Magic Eden has pitched the idea to ApeCoinDAO for the creation of a tailored NFT marketplace.
Magic Eden is advocating for ApeCoinDAO to establish a platform exclusively for Yuga Labs’ NFT offerings, which encompasses various collections beyond just the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Bored Ape Yacht Club Envisioned benefits of this new collaboration for ApeCoinDAO members include a minimal transaction fee of just 0.75%, with no financial obligations for the DAO. Participants will have the opportunity to buy, trade, and sell BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC NFTs. Additionally, members will have space to socialize and discuss their shared interests on the platform.
The envisioned platform would offer incentives for payments made with APE tokens, along with merchandise sales capabilities, marketing tools, tailored services, and bidding options. With Magic Eden's recent integration of the Ethereum blockchain, users will be able to place bids using either $APE or $ETH, with special discounts for those who prefer the native token.

The voting Magic Eden isn't the first to create a marketplace themed around specific projects. Just last June, Rarible partnered with the CC0 collection MFers to launch a dedicated platform, despite those behind it, including the creator Sartoshi, stepping back.
The celebrated NFT collection CryptoPunks also has its own marketplace, developed by Larva Labs. However, this March, Yuga Labs took ownership of the project, prompting plans for the CryptoPunks web application to transition to a new site shortly.
Magic Eden recently closed a $130 million Series B funding round, highlighting its continued growth. acquired Magic Labs is introducing innovative features aimed specifically at onboarding new users into the web3 ecosystem.
