This news came shortly after Nobuaki Kobayashi, the trustee in charge of Mt. Gox’s bankruptcy proceedings, revealed the commencement of repayment plans for rehabilitation creditors on November 21. He anticipated that cash repayments would begin in 2023 and likely extend into 2024. Bitcoin Repayments will be issued in multiple phases, which include the base amount, an early lump-sum payment, and intermediate distributions. On December 21, a user with a pseudonym from Japan shared their success story of receiving payments from Mt. Gox via bank transfer, deposited in Japanese Yen.
