A creative hub in London has recently launched an NFT exhibition featuring the work of Brendan Dawes.

The exhibition 'Moments Spent with Others' premiered on May 20, presenting new works by the digital artist from the UK. Brendan Dawes at GAZELL.iO’s project space in London.
As the exhibition overview In his second collaboration with Gazelli Art House, the show delves into the value of seemingly trivial moments while illustrating the interplay between time, space, and the profound joy of connection with others. The gallery features three abstract digital pieces by Dawes, displayed on screens that are arranged in a triangular configuration, which brings light to the otherwise stark and dimly lit space.
A colle c tion of 13 NFTs With the exhibit set to drop on June 1, it invites collectors globally to engage in this unfolding artistic phenomenon. Brendan Dawes has a rich history of over twenty years working with technology, code, and data. Drawing inspiration from the pandemic's somber isolation, he captures 'algorithmically generated visuals based on trivial everyday interactions that somehow linger in one’s memory.' new media 'My art seeks to highlight the subtle yet impactful moments in our lives, particularly those shared with others,' shares Dawes, emphasizing the show's significance. 'The lockdown season imparted valuable lessons about our yearning for human connections. In light of this realization, I created three artworks that honor these transient experiences—both physical and digital representations of their intrinsic beauty.'
Each of the artworks is tied to a personal memory from Dawes' life. For instance, one piece recalls a moment from 2001 when he sat on a rooftop in Soho, New York, munching on pizza with his friend Hillman Curtis, a pivotal figure during the artist's move to the city. Another artwork evokes late-night film viewings with his father, who ignited Dawes's passion for cinema and serves as a crucial reference in his body of work. Lastly, the final piece embodies his cherished moments spent on a park bench with his wife, Lisa. press release In a video accompanying the exhibit on the NFT platform, Dawes explained his commitment to abstraction. By steering clear of direct representation, he opens up space for viewers to connect their own memories and experiences to the art. Despite this abstraction, facets of the artist’s personal journey are evident through the motion and color choices—sometimes vibrant and bustling like NYC's streets, other times monochromatic, reminiscent of Hitchcock films, or snippets of fashion and faces caught during casual afternoons of people-watching.
Dawes elaborated on the NFTs related to this exhibition in the same video. Although he has previously released NFTs on platforms like Makersplace, KnownOrigin, NiftyGateway, and SuperRare, this time he partnered with GAZELL.iO to create a unique platform powered by Verisart for this drop. At the heart of the collection is a singular 'master NFT' that encapsulates all three displayed works in the physical gallery, available as a one-of-a-kind video.

In addition to the master NFT, four individual one-of-a-kind stills of each digital creation are offered at an approachable price of $10,000 each.
'This is indeed the art of our current age,' Dawes remarked in the video. 'Contemporary art should reflect the present, and we live a deeply digital existence.' While he has always engaged with these artistic forms, the emergence of NFTs was a game-changer for him. 'I discovered that NFTs represented the ideal medium for digital artistry. It used to frustrate me that we often had to convert digital pieces into physical forms to be collected.' The idea of transforming digital art into prints implied that only physical manifestations held value. For Dawes, blockchain technology enables him to keep his work unblemished and present it to audiences and collectors in their true digital form. whopping $65,000 'I believe my creations are incomplete until they are perceived by an audience who brings their own interpretations to the work,' Dawes expressed. He hopes that viewers will resonate with cherished memories of time spent with loved ones, yet acknowledges that abstraction serves as a blank canvas. For those interested, 'Moments Spent with Others' will be open for viewing in Mayfair until June 25, with virtual tours available as well. Looking ahead, Dawes is set to present another solo exhibition starting August 1 at Neal Gallery in Beijing, China.
