Making waves in the Metaverse, L'Officiel has introduced 'Fashion Dune,' a unique parcel of virtual land within The Sandbox.

In an exciting announcement, fashion magazine L'Officiel revealed its entry into the Metaverse by acquiring a digital lot in The Sandbox, which will feature a special fashion-focused issue set to release in June.

Drawing inspiration from iconic sci-fi masterpieces like 'Dune' and 'Total Recall,' L'Officiel's virtual territory, aptly named 'Fashion Dune,' has been crafted by the talented architect Renaissance NFT. This land will evoke a Martian desert vibe.

With Fashion Dune, L'Officiel plans to unveil cutting-edge fashion content and exclusive collections. This virtual space will also house a digital theater that celebrates the magazine's centennial content and showcases fashion exhibits starting this September.

The upcoming edition of the magazine in June is set to be a distinctive Metaverse issue, marking L'Officiel's Metamonth—a virtual festival dedicated to exploring the wonders of Web3, available in 32 languages, alongside a series of exclusive events.

In an important move earlier this year, AMTD, a Hong Kong-based enterprise, made headlines by securing a deal to acquire 100% ownership of L'Officiel, marking the first foray of a Chinese firm into the global fashion media space. announced In its quest to step into the Metaverse, the fashion publication teamed up with Benjamin Eymère, the Chief Metaverse Officer at AMTD, along with The Sandbox co-founders, Arthur Madrid and Sébastien Borget.

"L'Officiel continues to lead the way in fashion innovation by purchasing a land parcel in The Sandbox, creating a vital link between its audience and the trailblazers of Web3,\"

In the fashion sector, The Sandbox has also paved the way for brands like Gucci and Adidas to venture into this immersive digital landscape. said  Sebastien Borget.

The entire issue of TIME magazine featuring Vitalik Buterin is now available for purchase on the OpenSea platform.
