Livepeer Unveils Its New AI Video Accelerator Program, Offering Grants Up to $20,000 for Selected Innovations
In Brief
Livepeer has introduced an AI Video Accelerator program designed to fast-track the innovation of decentralized AI-driven video technologies and applications.

Video infrastructure network Livepeer The introduction of the AI Video Accelerator Program by Livepeer aims to boost the growth of decentralized AI video technology and its applications. The initiative emphasizes the integration of sophisticated generative AI functionalities into the network, providing selected startups with $20,000 in funding, credits for AI processing and transcoding, and mentorship from the experienced Livepeer team.
Participants of this program will gain early access to Livepeer's cutting-edge AI video platform, along with options for collaborative marketing and partnership opportunities. The program will culminate in a showcase at Token2049 in Singapore and a digital Demo Day in October, where each team will have the chance to present their innovative solutions.
This initiative spans three months, aiming to expedite the advancement of decentralized AI video technologies and applications. The first group consists of eight startups—Flipguard, Katana, Newcoin, Operator, Origin Støries, Refraction, Supermodel, and StreamEth—handpicked by the Livepeer tech team for their commitment to open-source and decentralized innovation, dedication to creating user-centric, agile products, and enthusiasm for leveraging the Livepeer network for AI inference applications.
Startups participating in this program will focus on embedding generative AI functionalities into their offerings, which may include text-to-image, image-to-image, image-to-video transformations, upscaling techniques, and speech-to-text functionalities. Builders also retain the flexibility to utilize existing pathways or to create and implement their own in close collaboration with the Livepeer AI engineering experts.
Livepeer: What Is It?
It is a groundbreaking decentralized video technology a framework built for both real-time and on-demand streaming. It presents a distributed ecosystem where users can tap into a range of video services such as transcoding or streaming integrations for their applications.
Providers of infrastructure can add computing capacity to the network and manage video streaming requests from users or developers in exchange for a fee. Initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain, Livepeer has now transitioned to the Arbitrum network.
The platform has integrated AI Video Compute capabilities through its specialized AI Subnet, which utilizes the vast array of GPUs across its network. This innovative Subnet breaks away from the monopolistic control of conventional computing providers, significantly reducing costs while enabling instant AI-driven video generation.
