Line to Launch an NFT Marketplace

The introduction of the LINE NFT marketplace marks a significant milestone for the popular Japanese social media app. LINE NFT Originally, LINE was established as a messaging service that catered to smartphone, tablet, and computer users, and since its inception in 2011, it has attracted around 90 million users, making it the leading app in Japan. The company's proactive approach to innovation is evident as they launched a cryptocurrency exchange back in 2018.
In a bid to bring this marketplace to life, LINE is collaborating with Yoshimoto Kogyo, a prominent player in the entertainment industry, along with LVC Corporation, the blockchain and crypto subsidiary of LINE founded in 2018.
The LINE NFT marketplace will showcase a range of digital assets, including a selection of exclusive films produced by Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings, available in the Yoshimoto NFT Theatre. Additionally, NFT releases will feature beloved characters from renowned anime titles, such as Patlabor the Mobile Police.
Overall, the marketplace is set to host close to 40,000 distinct NFTs.

Once an NFT is acquired, users will have to keep it securely within the LINE BitMa wallet, which was developed in partnership with the crypto exchange BitMax. Users will be able to use the app's native currency, LINK (LN), for transactions on this platform. LINE Pay’s online merchants.
More collaborations within the NFT space are anticipated for the summer of 2022, as stated LINE NEXT is preparing to launch a global NFT platform called DOSI.
