LimeWire Joins Forces with Polygon to Launch a Blockchain-Driven AI Creator Studio
In Brief
After relaunching as a music NFT marketplace last year, LimeWire has unveiled its AI Creator Studio.
The AI music studio will debut with a collection of licensed material available for anyone to create their own tracks.
The platform aims to leverage blockchain technology for seamlessly automating revenue distributions among creators and content contributors.

Limewire As a music NFT platform, LimeWire has introduced its AI Creator Studio on Polygon. Once a favorite for peer-to-peer file sharing, LimeWire made a notable return last year with a focus on music NFTs.
Aligning itself with the latest trends in digital content creation, LimeWire is dedicated to making AI tools available to people from diverse backgrounds, enabling wider participation.
The AI Studio will feature tools for creating images, producing videos, and creating complete music tracks.
Marcus Feistl, COO of LimeWire, shared with Metaverse Post that the decision to build the AI Creator Studio on Polygon’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network was driven by its impressive speed and efficiency.
He added, \"Polygon's vibrant community of Web3 creators provides an excellent opportunity for us to integrate these existing creators into the LimeWire ecosystem.\"
Addressing the growing copyright concerns To foster a responsible environment around AI-generated music, LimeWire will maintain a repository of licensed content for user music production. Additionally, the platform will allow artists to upload their existing work for other creators to access.
However, confirming the rights to uploaded tracks will involve several verification steps to maintain music originality and prevent copyright issues.
"Musicians must verify their ownership of the uploaded music. We are also employing AI technologies to identify copyright concerns and provide DMCA support for any infringements,\"
Feistl explained.
At the outset, the AI Studio will facilitate image generation utilizing the advanced Stable Diffusion technology and DALL-E models . New models for video and music generation are set to roll out in Q3 2023.
All content produced in the AI Studio will be automatically recorded on the Polygon blockchain.
"Once our library is operational, we will employ blockchain to clearly differentiate between content contributors and creators, automating revenue distributions based on this framework,\" Feistl mentioned to Metaverse Post.
Discussing the intersection of Web3 and AI, Feistl noted the substantial and established synergy between these two innovative realms.
"We’ve engaged with numerous reputable voices in the industry this year and discovered that features such as cryptocurrency payments and NFT minting are incredibly sought after by many AI content creators,\" Feistl added. \"Therefore, we are excited to be among the pioneers to unite these communities on a single platform.\" AI players Please keep in mind that the information on this page is not designed to be construed as legal, tax, investment, financial, or any form of advisement.
