Several key players in the Metaverse industry have collaborated to create OMA3, a decentralized organization designed to build a user-controlled Metaverse reliant on the principles of decentralization and comprehensive indexing.

The Open Metaverse Alliance for Web3 is committed to fostering a Metaverse that is owned by its users, where they possess rights to their assets, identities, and personal information. Additionally, this newly formed consortium aims to promote the interoperability of digital assets like NFTs, virtual properties, and services across various platforms.
A dozen reputable Web3 brands have already signed up to be part of this initiative. OMA3 Notable participants include Alien Worlds, Animoca Brands, Decentraland, Dapper Labs, and The Sandbox.
